Birding near Kampala at Kasenge Forest

This excellent article in the Uganda Monitor highlights a top birdwatching site we were unaware of closer to Kampala - more than 150 species recorded including the localised Green Hylia Shining Blue Kingfisher, Grey Parrot and Western Nicator.

Murchison Falls & road there from Fort Portal

Drive from Fort Portal to Masindi, 45 min to turning at Kyenjojo, 3 hours to Hoima then another hour to Masindi. Road in moderate state, very bumpy but managed average of 45 kph.
