Discount on gorilla tracking permits and other park and activity fees

In order to encourage the recovery of the country’s tourist industry, the Uganda Wildlife Authority is offering a substantial discount on gorilla tracking permits and other park and activity fees from 1 December 2020 to 31 March 2021.

These discounts are as follows:

  • 50% discount on entrance fees for all national parks, including Murchison Falls, Queen Elizabeth, Lake Mburo, Kidepo, Semliki, Bwindi, Mgahinga and Kibale.
  • 50% discunt on birding fees
  • Reductions on gorillas tracking permits from US$600 to US$400 for Foreign Non-residents, US$600 to US$300 for Foreign Residents, and Ush 250,000 to Ush 150,000 for to Ugandans and other East Africans.
  • Reductions on chimpanzee tracking permits considering the following tourist categories from from US$200 to US$150 for Foreign Non-residents, US$150 to US$100 for Foreign Residents, and Ush 150,000 to Ush 100,000 for to Ugandans and other East Africans.
