We just came back from our trip in Uganda.
While in Kisoro, I found out that Gorilla Junction, as craft shop, is not in business any more.
I was trying to look through the showcases to understand if goods where still in there, when a man, wearing a t shirt with gorilla junction logo, told me that the store has closed down.
We spend our two days at traveller’s rest inn, and they organized a coffee tour in a local farm, thanks to Julius Nkurunziza of UWA. Julius is a young guide, with lot of passion in doing his job. From the coffee seeds, to the tree, to harvest to grind and at the end to make and taste your own coffee. All this in about 2/3hours. Price around 45 USD, total for 2 people, included a small souvenir, some coffee to take home, and the possibility to buy coffee. His whatsapp contact he gave me is +256 705772354.
He is able to organize tour to local market in Kisoro, as well as the woman experience, that consists, as he explained, to be for a day involved in cooking, gather water, etc.
Thanks so much for all the useful infos you gave us with your guide. For me Bradt is always the best choice for Africa.
