Olive Garden Hotel, Kampala

Posted: August 10, 2010 in Kampala
I can warmly recommend the hotel where we stayed in Kampala (not listed in your guide).  It is called the Olive Garden, and is situated in Bugolobi, which struck me as Kampala’s answer to London’s Hampstead.  Address Plot 1/3 Luthuli Close, Bugolobi, PO Box 9389, Kampala.  Tel. (+256) 414 222364; fax (+256) 414 222381; emailwww.olivegarden.hotel@yahoo.com; website www.olivegardenhoteluganda.com Price: $65 single; $75 double.  En suite rooms with mosquito nets draped over four posters, which makes you feel as if you’re on a film set, attractive gardens in which a small bar/restaurant is situated.  Very friendly, helpful staff.  Judging by the pictures hanging in Reception, I think it may have some kind of Christian connection.
